Design is a journey of continuous learning. While achievements are great, it’s the **mistakes** that shape us most. Here are some of the biggest lessons I’ve learned the hard way—and how they made me a better designer.
I used to jump into mockups without understanding the purpose. Aesthetics matter, but strategy matters more. Now, I start every project by asking: “What’s the goal?”
In my early days, I took feedback personally. But over time, I learned that feedback is a **gift**, not a threat. Real users see what I might overlook.
More gradients. More animations. More everything. I was guilty of “designing to impress” rather than “designing to serve.” Simplicity is powerful.
Rushing straight to the final design without testing ideas led to poor UX. Now I always wireframe, test, and iterate before polishing the final product.
When working with teams, I failed to provide proper design specs or rationale. Clear documentation = fewer misunderstandings.
Mistakes are not failures—they’re milestones in the design journey.

Every designer messes up. What matters is how we respond, learn, and evolve. Today, I’m proud of my progress—not because I avoided mistakes, but because I embraced them.
